Something that I take very seriously as a father of 4 (daughter's that is) I wanna teach them the joys of this sport, the seriousness of the words stated on the 2nd Ammendment, and the power that their voice has<p><a href="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2016_02/20151123_182747.jpg.7efaa9d86901b1f34518a877db3a4cda.jpg" class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image"><img data-fileid="510" src="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2016_02/20151123_182747.jpg.7efaa9d86901b1f34518a877db3a4cda.jpg" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" alt=""></a></p><p><a href="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2016_02/20151126_110834.jpg.560ae1e32e4e67b8ac02b9d658c48836.jpg" class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image"><img data-fileid="511" src="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2016_02/20151126_110834.jpg.560ae1e32e4e67b8ac02b9d658c48836.jpg" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" alt=""></a></p><p><a href="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2016_02/20151126_110844.jpg.a1f6112f1b196412444b032fec1c80a7.jpg" class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image"><img data-fileid="512" src="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2016_02/20151126_110844.jpg.a1f6112f1b196412444b032fec1c80a7.jpg" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" alt=""></a></p><p><a href="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2016_02/20151126_115148.jpg.419ecbf4f6a8aa5c179df4e6506a93c5.jpg" class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image"><img data-fileid="513" src="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2016_02/20151126_115148.jpg.419ecbf4f6a8aa5c179df4e6506a93c5.jpg" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" alt=""></a></p>

A day that I've been waiting for since my girls were first born! Me and Bella after she picked out her first rifle(savage .22lr) and Papa with a Marlin 45-70 govt. Lever action. I'm proud that I got to share this little moment in time with my kiddo, she was excited and so was I! But the reality is that it's about so much more than the rifle or the shooting that goes along with it.....I hope to pass my love of this sport down so our kids can pass it down to theirs one day. ..

Hahahahahaha funniest part of Bella picking out her rifle was that there was so many that she liked and didn't know which one to get (her words lol), funny I have the same problem sometimes!

I back you 100% on what you are doing, I believe young children need to learn to not fear guns by doing exactly what you are doing. GOOD JOB!!

My three oldest (all daughters) have been shooting with me since each one turned 4. My 5 year old is usually the instigator, asking to hit the range more than the other two. Hard for mom/wife to say no to some quality father/daughter bonding. My oldest (13) has started shooting USPSA matches with me, taken our Handgun Level 1 class, and I am most proud of the comments from the RO's about how safe she is during her draw, reloads, target transitions, and movement through the stages (trigger finger and muzzle control). The speed and accuracy will continue to improve with practice, while I enjoy more time on the range with my daughters!
