Ha... I saw the email earlier today with the cut down lower. Neat concept, but I don't expect I'll be buying one. Kind of the same as my feelings on the Crusader lower.

I'm with you, not really my thing. I don't really think that's something to be proud of. I get that torture is sometimes necessary to get intel from the enemy but to be proud of it is, IMO anyways, distasteful to say the least.
The sentiment doesn’t bother me at all, but I want all my AR’s to be capable of being used as a weapon. I wouldn’t want to use something like this lower in an actual shooting.......you know it would be used against you.
I don't see the need to go for shock value. Just gives the antis something else to use against us IMO.
I feel like spikes tries to hard to be the cool guy.

Exactly this. Makes us gun owners look unstable, always looking for a fight or some reason to cause violence.
Spikes should just admit it and sell ed hardy and affliction branded lowers. And instead of including a challenge coin they should include torn, weathered, and rhinestoned jeans.
I’m kinda surprised they haven’t already teamed up with Tapout.

Based on what I know, I might buy one of those. These? Not so much. I love my SET lowers. I have a matched Spider upper for my .300. Dad loves his Calico Jack (Parley, Plunder, Arrrrr) lower. And I always liked the Honey Badger (safe, fire, don't give a shit.) But the "Poke the Bear" (Not shooting at you, I hate you, and your friends too) lowers they always seem to put out are a little much. Ok, way much. Why stir up more negative outlook towards an already too often attacked industry.
