Hey anyone know much about these revolvers?

I have a guy that wants to trade his. Here is a picture of it. He says it's unfired. But I have no idea on how much they are. Are they good shooters? Can they handle modern defensive loads?

From what i have read in the past they are not meant to handle constant .357 loads, but ocasionally its ok. Think its why they did away with the K frame.

I have a 66-7 by the way.

Outstanding revolver! It will handle all the .357 loads you'll care to shoot out of it. Great larger L frame is a stronger design, but larger and heavier and therefore not quite as good a snubby CCW design.

Your 66 is a K frame. I have a 3" M-13 K frame that is at least 30 years old. Was well-used when I got it almost 15 years ago and I've shot the snot out of it with everything from light .38's to heavy .357's. She's as tight, accurate and reliable as the day she left the plant.

That's a sweet little k frame. My favorite S&W's by far are k frames. It will handle all the .357 you want to shoot out of it.

You CANNOT go wrong with a S&W 66. One of the best revolvers I've ever owned. Mine is a 6". I would love to have a shorter barreled 66 like this. And yes, 357 all day and night.
