Now that Laserlyte has discontinued their Model CK-AMF, what are our options for a side mount on the Ruger LCP?

I have never liked the under the frame laser look.

I have not heard of any other laser similar to the Laserlyte for the LCP. However, I must admit that I have not looked real hard for one because I simply don't want to put a laser sight on any of my handguns. :-\

I wonder why Laserlyte discontinued that model?

I have a Lasermax that came on my LCP, but never use it. I would take it off, but then I would have to shop for holsters again.

Side-mounted lasers seem less intrusive than the trigger guard mounted ones such as the Lasermax and the CT. But I still have the CT on mine because I don't have to worry about the activation switch in the critical moment...

Again, I'm hoping that Laserlyte has in the works a side mounted laser for the LCP, that is an instinctive on switch.

Old thread but I have really liked the side mounted LaserLyte on my LCP. I guess they were not selling enough to keep it in production.

Is a laser worth it at more then 10-15 yards? I want to try to get one for getting better at shooting because I know sometimes I jerk the pistol?
