If you stay at Circus Circus, or rent a house on AirBnB and a rental car, you won’t get raped by the close hotels that month. That is Vegas’s busiest month for conventions and the rates are around $400 a night for Pallazzo, Venetian, MGM, etc. Circus Circus, albeit a lot less nice is about $99 a night.

I had the opportunity to go to SHOT last year, I just don't care about it. I didn't go to NRA either. I love guns, but after selling them and talking about them all day everyday at work- when I'm done...I'm fucking done. I'll read about whatever is new or handle one when it comes in from a distributor.
Firearms are the one thing in life I would never get tired of. I fucked up getting into construction. I hate my job. But it pays good. So. Yeah.
You would be surprised. I was the same way about cars till I worked on them for a living. Going to the IV8888 range day and talking to people reinforced it. They love what they do and have a passion for it, but they don’t get the same joy that many of us do since they are surrounded by it.
Think about going to the range and it reminding you of work instead of being a way to decompress from it.

Exactly...when I get off work- I want to work in the garden, play with my son, watch Netflix, etc...
I hate having a dinner out with family interrupted by some jackass who saw me at the shop and now wants to talk about the Sig 320 for an hour, or someone stop me in Kroger asking about NFA procedure. They don't understand you have a life outside of guns. I'll usually politely tell them to come see me at the shop, but other times I have told them straightforward- "I'm having dinner with friends/family, this is my time."
