Every time you want to make a precision shot beyond your zero. That's why NF (and others) have a zero-stop that let you go back to your saved zero after dialing for elevation. How many times has anyone ever needed a turret?

It's the same philosophy when hunting. It's all cute.Shooting paper is cute.

Me too. I actually think the tunnel vision helps on focusing on a single spot to shoot, at least that's what I tell myself. Thinking back at shots taken when hunting, I don't remember much of a cognitive process going on, just reptilian brain level instinct. I think it's actually harder to shoot paper for that reason sometimes.I cant talk shit. I turn into a bumbling idiot as soon as I see a deer. I yank on the trigger like it's 100 pound pull.

I've never got a deer. Ran out of shirt tails so I took up motorcycles instead.
For relatively close, instinctive shots this makes sense for sure.I always make a better shot when I dont have time to think about it. Those 2 bucks I had less than 10 seconds each.
He'd definitely need facial hair.I dont think @NWS is badass enough for that.
That's cute.Dont bump your scope dude. Protect it like you protect your nuts.
Just do like our aspiring governor and use credit cards...it's free! Some of us are poor.
I don’t understand OP’s question.
You hit the turret, the settings stayed the same, but your POI has shifted?
or
You hit the turret, which caused the turret adjustment to move off of your zero to something else, and now you’re wondering why it hit somewhere else?
In regards to the size of the group in the pic, no one can tell if that’s a good group or not without knowing all the factors. What the rifle is capable of, how good the ammo is, how good the shooter is, how good your rest was (was your ATV still running when you used it as a rest), etc. It’s possible that it’s a stellar group for the conditions involved. Good thing is, the center of the group is in the center of the target.
I know that I bumped the top turret by a couple of clicks, but unless I bumped the others to push the poi to top left of the target. 8 clicks down and 8 clicks right I was back center mass. The gun probably shoots way better than I can. So unless I bumped both turrets than the scope lost zero. I now have it set back to stop zero. Just hoping it was the turrets getting bumped and not the scope losing zero. I guess time will tell.I'm confused. Did the turrets turn when knocked, or the the rifle lose zero?
Sounds like scope lost zero. Try sending it back, but cheap scopes tend to do this.I know that I bumped the top turret by a couple of clicks, but unless I bumped the others to push the poi to top left of the target. 8 clicks down and 8 clicks right I was back center mass.
