I did come across some 158gr. somewhere and was wondering if it would make a difference. A bit pricey if I remember right.

The fioche 158 is really quiet, but a 147 from the right company is just about the same.

This is some great stuff. I have also used Northern Hills reman ammo to great success! @Red Dawn can attest to it as he has run a few clips FA through the Mac and it runs fine and cycles fine and is vewy quiet!

If there is enough interest I will put on a little reloading mini clinic when things calm down for me this winter. You can custom make your loads to just barely cycle the slide of your pistol, eliminating much of the blast and excess gas.
