for the first question: not my first choice because some have had qc issues but it's not my last choice if budget is a concern.

So does the 10.5 need to travel with the SBR at all times? I was under the impression that it was the initial upper but you didn't have to keep it even though it's on the paperwork

No, and the misspellings in the description are a pretty major turn off. Just go with a reputable company, the price is the same, service and company longevity will be as good or better, and you'll have a proven product with which to finish your build. win/win/win

i'm not an nfa lawyer by any stretch of the imagination but here goes...

if you are traveling out of state with your sbr in an sbr configuration - no matter what length, registered length or not - you have to file a form (form something.20) and get pre-approval before you take the trip.

if you're traveling out of state with the sbr lower in a non-sbr configuration (barrel length 16" or more) then no form needs to be filed.

if you're traveling in state with an sbr config - then you need to keep the stamp with the sbr.

if your sbr is config'd in a manner not consist with the filing, then you need to be readily able to convert it back to its registered length or into a non-sbr state. i'm not sure if this means that the registered length upper needs to be on in hand or can be stashed at your house.
