Ruger goes all 10mm!!

New SR1911 in 10mm!

I have not shot this round before. I of course will be interested in picking up this 1911!

Great round, most commercial loadings are barely stronger than 40cal. You have to go with Underwood or Buffalo bore to get full power rounds. Then it's capable of stopping anything you want to hunt around here! I'd put recoil in a full size pistol in the "snappier than a 45" range. The barrel must fully support the case however, otherwise don't use full power loads as the case will bulge.

Not a fan of the Bomar sights. I like the gun though. I might pick one up to use as a base gun if I can't find a railed 10mm 1911 like I've been looking for.

10 mike mike is one of my favs. The SR 1911's I've shot were pretty nice.

I just don't like adjustable sights. They make fixed sights with a Bomar cut though so it's not really a big deal.

I love 10mm, but like what was already said you have to look for the good stuff to get full power.

I've simplified it..... Buy sig 10mm fmj for practice. And Underwood for carry....

Can't wait to see GGS list it, to see what their price on it will be! Gonna have to work a few extra jobs to make it happen!

I had a Gen 3 G20 for a little while. Shot great. Accurate. Manageable recoil. But I couldn't justify the round cost for punching holes in paper.

If there were black bears in my area, sure. Given the squirrels and chipmunks that frequent this area, I just can't see the need. I sold the G20 a couple years ago.
