Let's get some can reviews going. It's valuable content to the forum not to mention very helpful to those in the market.

Tell us what host it's on, post pics, thoughts, etc... And you can update the thread as time goes by of how the can is doing.

I have posted a few reviews from time to time but mostly on the other site. The problem is that those threads get buried in the forumbrella over time and get lost. Having them in one thread makes it somewhat better. I would like to suggest a sticky for this thread, or maybe as an individual posts a thewd about a can it be stickied as well.

I got to put a swarm on Chad's noisy cricket. Considering most of the powder is igniting in the can, it sounded excellent in full length config. Then we ran it in k config with some wire gel and it sounded awesome. I can't think of a more compact suppressed pistol than this. Literally couldn't feel it on the gun. chad_iv8888-1479855565702.jpg

Dobbs Defense Arc 30 on a SBR 300BlkOut with 10.5 inch Barrel with Pistol Gas system and JP silent Spring and Aimpoint sight.
Here is a good comparison of full power Blackout Ammo and Subsonic Ammo.
First 3 shots are full power and next three are Subsonic.

First off, absent some wire pulling gel this thing has a pretty significant FRP as you might expect with a high volume monocore design. Subsequent reduction is excellent. I haven't metered it, but with Federal Suppressor ammo it's incredibly quiet. This thing is kind of the Double IPA of the rimfire suppressor world. It's big, it's heavy, and it's intoxicating. It's just a hoot to shoot.

It comes with a wrench to pull the core, a sticker, and an instruction manual in the box. All the standard fare stuff.

That Apex makes me want to do a production run of 1.125" swarms so bad. The prototype we did about 9 months ago was insanely quiet. And now that we have the swarm down to almost zero frp even on a pistol, i cant imagine what the larger diameter would meter at.

This is my Griffin Revolution 45. It's made of metal, so it's real strong. Before I got the Revolution my 1911 was really loud. Like probably 11 loud. Now it's not so loud. I know what you're thinking, "but it's black". Don't judge it until you try one, it still works pretty good and it's not even as scary as it looks.

I'd absolutely love to have a 1.125" swarm. To heck with the Oculus.
The IA Apex-S is pretty sweet, but it's honestly a Model T next to the Swarm.

Man, old thread...perhaps a revival is in order.

Q thunder chicken vs Q trash panda, and a Q El Camino.
At the red hills metering day my buddy and I brought our Q fan boy gear out to run and compare. The .30 cans were run on his sugar weasel, and the el camino on a savage fvsr w/ 18" barrel. Measurements were at 4 locations over 5 rounds and avgd.
Temp: hot af
Humidity: north ga August batwings variety
Meters: never asked, looked expensive
Ammo: S&B 200gr .300 subs, cci super quiet .22 710 fps
Unsuppressed weasel: >160db
Unsuppressed fsvr: around 140?, didn't record that for some reason, my bad
Trash panda avg: 134.1
Thunder chicken avg: 132.8
El Camino avg: shit you not, 104

We expected the bird can to be quieter, but what we didn't expect was the tonal difference in the 2 cans. Now, the panda is mine, so I may be biased, but it had a slightly mellower note and would be more pleasant to hear repeatedly...but realistically they both rock. We shoot these at my place regularly without even a text from my neighbors as to what's going on.
The El Camino on that bolt gun was dumbfounding to me. I've heard louder .177 piston rifles. Even with supers it sound more like a limb splitting in the distance than a rifle crack.
