After taking the hushpuppy out in the woods squirrel hunting the other day I realized that I enjoy this gun more as a hunting rifle than some tactard bullshit.

Anyway, some of you have seen it in this form before. I had to strip it of its scope a while back as the Pentax I had on it was a piece of crap that had all kinds of issues.

Anyway, I went more traditional hushpuppy this time. I ordered up a Simmons 22 mag 3-9 scope, a Harris 6-9" bipod, a set of sling swivel studs, and a leather sling.

Hoping to get out in the woods this afternoon and sight in the scope. I liked the red dot, but like the scope even more.

I think it looks good that way too.

Since you plan to hunt with it more, have you considered a longer barrel or do you think its good enough for squirrels at the current length?

It's fine at the current length. If I'm going to use a longer barrel I will take my 17hmr (which is also threaded)

No, I have quite a bit that isn't threaded, I just don't shoot that stuff much....ok, I don't shoot it at all.

Did you have to carve out the stock for the suppressor to fit? A 10/22 receiver would be my second choice for a sbr, one day it'll happen.

Yes, the stock had to be opened up for the can.

I like the new configuration much better! I wish I had an integrally suppressed 10/22!

Damn it. I bought a 10-22 to do this because of you, then traded it off cause I resisted the urge. Now you make me want to do it again

I actually like it better with the folding stock. I imagine it is much more useful with the wood though. Looks good either way.

Beauty of the 10/22. It b only takes 3 minutes to swap the stock.

I like the 10/22 you have it set up where it's easy to maneuver in the woods very nice
