The m&p is the good one. It has a steel pin where the slide stop engages the slide.

Our GSG is eating itself. Super soft nickel alloy cast slide isn't built for durability

Ahh that's right so screw the GSG.

Concur. His pistol has a longer barrel than my rifle.

It's gone.

Don't feel bad though. That 10/22 is buried so deep in the safe I don't think I would have gotten it out for only 1000. Maybe if you bought my Ninja too.....

I have a 22/45 and am not a huge fan of it as a host. Also have a GSG 1911, but like @Righter13 said, it can be a little finnicky with different ammo. I will say that mine's probably not even broken in well enough to write it off. It's definitely fun. But if you told me I could only keep one it would be the SR22, hands down no contest. The only thing I would say about the SR22 is that it's probably not going to be super comfortable if you have giant man hands. But for Trump sized hands like mine, I don't think there's a much more comfortable grip out there.

The only gun named here that I don't own or haven't owned is the M&P 22.

I'd be glad to let you put the GSG, 22/45 lite and SR22 in your hands if you'd like.

The Victory is the best gun mentioned. I love shooting 22 suppressed, but I buy a gun, not a host. I don't care about a few dbs as long as the cops don't get called. The barrel is 5", so SV ammo is almost a must.

Sr22 is a great gun for teaching new shooters or kids and is pretty reliable but not very accurate.

I can't say much in the way of actually shooting with a can, but I will say the SR22 I had was a really fun pistol. Very reliable, and I know they offer a threaded barrel version of it. My next will be a mark 4. I've shot a mark 2 or 3 suppressed and it did really well.

SR22 all day! It has a very light trigger on the double action, after the first round. With suppressor it is staple gun quiet!

I plan on doing a threaded barrel on the top one (4.5" barrel), probably won't be as quiet with regular minimag.

I took yalls word and hate this thing. Worst trigger on the planet and the mags are a complete beetch to get seated all the way.

Someone trade me a GSG 1911 22!!!!!

Skip the pot metal 1911 and get the MKIV steel frame and chop the barrel, or get the S&W Victory (better trigger, and super accuracy) and chop the barrel....or get the MKIV 22/45.

Another advantage to the Victory is the ability to re-shape the grip. Since it's all poly, I've been able to use a felt buffer wheel and some fine abrasive, and re-shape the grip perfectly for my hand. I removed the safety, smoothed out a couple ridges that eventually wore on the hand, and took a small amount of material out of the underside of the trigger guard area to allow me to get my hand deeper into the pistol at a sharper and more comfortable grip angle (for me). I used to tolerate the grip, now I love it. It's amazing how much difference it makes to take some small ridges out that are in place for cosmetic reasons. I guess designers are going for an angular, aggressive look, but that doesn't meld well with the human form.

Id prefer something that doesnt cost an additional hundo to get threaded if at all possible.
