Interesting, I would have never thought to do that. I tried exactly one ambi safety because I didn't like my knuckle interfering with it going into Fire but I never thought to flip it like that.
Next question: what's the story with the piece of cord on the takedown pins?
I REALLY LIKE extended takedown pins, but the only steel ones I could find for a .308 had stupid keyrings through them. These pins are a real bitch to pull out, so I ditched the jingle keyrings and added a length of gutted paracord.
The BEST extended takedown pins are YHM, but they don't make a .308 version, at least not as of when I was building mine. If I ever find some, I'll ditch this shit and put in the YHMs.
