My only issue with it was the receiver and stock were one piece. I had no problems, but if you broke it from a drop or something, you could be screwed. The supernova solves that issue though.
I was always a little concerned about moisture getting inside the plastic and rusting any metal underneath. Probably wasn't an issue but was one possible problem I had with that design.
My next shotgun will either be an 870 or 590 with Magpul stock and foregrip, ghost ring sights, and maybe a small reddot.
Is all the necessary? No, but I like it and think it would be a cool shotgun.

@cmshoot what is your opinion on sights and optics on a HD shotgun?
I am thinking of doing small reddot like a MRDS or similar on my next shotgun. I don't do well with bead sights and would like something I can see better. I shot a benelli M4 SBS with an eotech and loved it but an eotech would probably be out of my budget for a shotgun optic.

Eotech is out of my price range for an optic that doesnt work as often as eotechs LOL.

Nothing wrong with an RDS on a shotgun. I had a Docter RDS on my Benelli M2. I'm currently running the above Rem870 and an old, HK-marked Benelli M1. Hopefully I'll have an older model Ithaca 37 as well. Currently, none of them have an RDS, but I ain't against it.
I went to a training seminar down in Florida many years ago called "Competency-based Entry". At the time, my entry weapon was a 14" Benelli M1 and I did just fine with it. Then I ran it again with one of the Instructor's entry weapons; a similar Benelli M1 with a RDS. Granted, I was already familiar with the course, but I was significantly faster with the RDS.
A plain ol' bead sight is real fast, but not the best tool for longer distance slug shots. The RDS works well up close and far away, and is handy in lowlight.
The only real issue is getting a co-witness.
Ive researched a good bit and havent found a good solution for any sort of co-witness. I figure that if the optic goes down then at HD ranges I still should be ok point shooting till I can pull the optic off.
I hope to use the set up for 3 gun so a reddot would help with that some and be good for low light as you said.

I was just kidding, but Im with you. Thats what I shot 3 gun for. It definitely opened up my eyes to how hard shooting and running was, and how hard it is to keep track of what targets you have already shot.
I think it will be fun. This fall I hope to do some indoor IDPA style pistol and rifle matches. I'm sure I'll come in very low but I think it will be fun.
I don't know if they still offer them, but the FN SLP (semi-auto) and their pump action both used to be available with AR-style sights that were quite high. You could get a co-witness with those and the right RDS. The pump action is basically an updated Win1300, so good gun. The SLP is an excellent gun as well.
With the right machinist/gunsmith/good with his hands fella, it wouldn't be too hard to do a similar setup on just about any scattergun. A Picatinny rail on the received for the RDS and BUIS from an AR, then a front sight soldered/clamped to the barrel.
