It's honestly a pretty new thing. LEDs allow for a certain color temperature. Us old dudes are used to the incandescent look and 5000k is a cool color but looks more fluorescent in nature. You can tell a big difference. Make sure you have 5k in your shop.

The kids like 5000k but I made the mistake of getting those and putting them in some areas. Gave it a horrible industrial feel. Lighting makes a huge difference. 5k for garage and areas where you need high detail.
