Well, the worm has turned again, my friends. Humana informed us they will no longer pay their part of Suzanne's rehab & she will be discharged this Saturday. They say she's reached her "plan limit" & has recovered enough. (Even though all the surgeons & rehab staff say she needs at least another 3 weeks.)
To make it one of the most unconscionable things I've heard of, Humana is closed tomorrow & Friday for Thanksgiving. Our patient advocate started the appeal process this morning immediately after we were informed, thank goodness. I'm not sure what we will do if she is discharged. i don't know how much caretaking I'm capable of, given my current condition. Hopefully we won't have to find out.

Two of my friends experiencing longer than normal times on their efiled form 1s got this response from BATFE today.
That's because they are doing 100k background checks a day. I was at a counter today and watched them do 5 in 30 minutes. The math is stupid. Seems we are arming up for some reason?
