It didn’t bother me I just pointed out the obvious. One day you’ll have to accept the fact that everyone is different and they may have differing opinions. No big deal. Is this ODT where we must conform to popular opinion or report shit?
I mean we can’t all be expected to shop at Walmart and Harbor Freight and wear 5.11 apparel and barely tip at restaurants so we can save up for a mid life crisis red Vette, right? Some of us that are of similar age have made different plans and decisions and it shows. All we can do is pass on our knowledge.
I can post a shitload of things NOT to do that I’ve learned from. Would that make you feel better?

Man, I unfortunately have had a similar experience, however much much more close and personal. There's nothing about any of it that isn't fucking terrible. The "what ifs" are the worst, and never really go away. It's just the learning that it's not anyone's fault but that of the deceased. It fuckin hurts man, I'd give ya a big ol hug if I could.

Apparently he has some issue with the fact that I like 5.11's (Greatest Pants ever made ), that I shop at a WalMart & Harbor Freight that are 4-5 minutes drive from me, & I bought a red vette. Apparently he's seen all my financial statements and has an opinion on what I can afford

Mini splits are very efficient, super quiet, and work really good, do cost more up front but if you starting from scratch, ductwork and all, might not be so bad. They make units that mount on the wall or in the ceiling, multiple heads can go to one unit outside. Stick with a name brand good one like Mitsubishi, daikin, or even a trane cause i think Mitsubishi makes the trane mini splits now. Whether you go name brand or not, get a good warranty, usually have to register online to get the maximum like 10 yrs or you get a default of only a couple. How big is the house decides the factor too, crawl space or attic for ductwork?

Just catching up thanks @Mr. Goodbar we don't have anything now so I am goin to check into the mini split.
The house is only 1200 square feet on a slab there is plenty of attic space.
