I wouldn't worry about parts like that but a heavy hood that's not made of the same gauge steel as OEM worries me. Read too many bad things about the horrible time people have had lining them up and gaps and what not.
If they are mowing the thugs down then they are helping. Of course, I would have gone the suppressor route to keep from drawing the attention of the authorities.
