$280 good price on a used TX-22? I think u have one?
I have several mags coming, but no gun yet.

I got mine from DGP back when they were cheap and had a rebate. But that was then.

Up until recently they could be had for $230 or so. And some of the early ones had bad barrels. Taurus will make it right but you have to go through the slow painful process...Google TX22 barrel problems. You can look for pics on what to look for to avoid a bad barrel.

And check the last round BHO feature. I didn't and had to do some filing to get mine to work. She's a fun shooter and great suppressor host.

Zeroing a lazer is always a pain in the ass. That being said, I need to get a set up for my primary rifle...

Best method I have found is a choice between two ways.

stand rifle on muzzle. Note bore on paper, look through red dot dot it with sharpie, turn on laser and draw dot where it is. There’s your measurements of how far away every is from bore. Then create a target with a box drawn for red dot and a box drawn for laser and post it far away. Have a buddy walk you in from a distance adjusting your laser into the box while you hold your red dot on its box. Most complicated but most accurate for a parallel zero

easiest and definitely good enough method; with a zeroed optic sand bag your rifle, pick a target farther away then you ever plan to engage with your laser, 200y etc, but that you can see during dusk with your vis aim laser. Put red dot on target, walk laser into your red dot. laser will be parallel zeroed out until that distance. Beyond that distance you’ll start to cross over the line of sight but if you never use your designator beyond 200 you’ll be fine. That’s how most of us do it

Laser is not meant for precision shooting. As long as my laser puts me within 3 inches of impact at 100 I am good

Yep the key is to keep it parallel with the bore and you’ll always be that distance from the bore out to infinity.when people get into trouble is when they zero their laser to their red dot at 25m or any distance closer than what they want to shoot out to. Your line of sight continues forward while your laser intersects with your dot and continues to cross over the plane infinity.

30’s can be built to be pretty good axles. For a pavement pounder, you have zero worries.

I used to hate the Lacquered 14.5mm ammo. After about 4 rounds through my sniper rifle The empty cases would get stuck and I would have to kick the bolt open.

I generally don't like lacquered ammo in my AK either

That really doesn't come into play for me. I generally don't run lasers much anymore except on pistols.

I do like an IR laser with NODs though.
