I'm a flashlight newb but it seems like a good idea to hang one on my AR. My bedside flashlight is a Streamlight that's only like 70 lumens and it's plenty bright? How much should I be looking at?

Allllllllllllllllllllll the Lumens!!!

Candela is important too though. Maybe moreso than lumens. A lot of companies advertise crazy lumen numbers(a lot exaggerate numbers too; Olight is one of the worst offenders) but their candela numbers are weak. Quality torches with "lesser" lumen ratings but higher candela ratings will be brighter.

I personally run a SureFire EDCL2-T(warm white light) for EDC or a Streamlight ProTac HL-X(cool White light) just depending. It's nice to have 2 quality torches that have different light spectrums for different situations.
