I'm sorry
@sam, she found the dog a home.
Serious question, what is a rescue? My wife had a liberal friend of hers say our dog isn't a rescue because it came from the county pound. She was adamant that "rescues" had to come from a rescue organisation, or the humane society.
I have a dislike of some of the rescue organizations. Around here, where county pounds still exist, they come and get all the puppies and easily adoptable dogs and leave many of the adults to die. They have a relationship with the people running it and know when stuff comes in and the moment they can take them. I'm a little bitter because I found a Shepard mix that couldn't be adopted for three days. I stopped at the pound every day after work and played with him for a 1/2 hour until they closed. Saturday morning I went to get him and Pound Puppies was getting him and another dozen dogs. I told the lady that I had come for that one, been coming to see him everyday, and she didn't care. If I wanted I could pay them $250 instead of the $25 the pound charged.
