@Jeddak, I forgot to post yesterday. I had to get some stuff at Home Depot. No signs on the door but went to the customer service counter to ask for change for a $1.00 bill to see what would happen. Said they weren't allowed to do it. No proof, but this smells like more than a Covid-19 induced temporary shortage when I can't get change for a bill in small-town America from a clerk who recognized me as I came in & asked why I didn't have my dog with me.

Basically, the fed says it's because so many places are closed because of Covid-19 that coins aren't circulating so they are rationing how many coins businesses can get. Some of us think it's an attempt to start doing away with coins altogether &, IMO, paper currency as well. But people tell me I'm stupid, or crazy, or paranoid, or all of the above.
