Charging handle, and the metal flap directly behind it is an articulating spring-loaded dust cover. They did a lot to keep the weapon Fully sealed to include gaskets on the push-end of the op-rod/recoil spring. For outside stuff coming in and suppressor stuff coming out

And it sounds great supressed. Just the BGC slamming forward.

It’s easy. Pop off the pistol grip cap and remove the screw

There is a second crew under the front handguard too. I just put it back in, after castrating the pistol lower.
