How exactly are you cleaning bakelite?

I start off with a toothbrush and simple green to get the dirt off.
Then I hit it was some turtle wax (the car stuff), let it dry, and buff out. That brings a lot of the shine back.
From time to time, wiping with CLP brings back a lot of shine and depth.
