I paid $300 for my 1st one and $275 for my 2nd one. M21 Bullseye both times.

The illuminator does its job 1000 percent. The knob seems a little big. You can use a single CR battery (I forget the model) or 2 CR2016 and it makes it even brighter. So bright it actually lights up the fiber optic all the way around lol. I can aim it directly at my bedroom light and still see the bullseye with it on the highest setting. I can't ever imagine having a washout situation that severe but I know I have it covered lol...

I have shot an ARM and a Galatz. I wasn't impressed with either.
The vast majority of my engagements (unless I was behind glass) were betweem 20-150m. An AK is perfectly serviceable at that range.
Kill flash isn't for NV. It's to eliminate lense flare so your enemy doesn't see light reflecting off your optic. Same principal as birds nesting your scope on a sniper rifle.
I got saved by catching a glint off a scope in my peripheral vision. I saw the flash, and dropped behind the wall. A bullet came zipping to through the window where my head had been half a second before.
Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good....
Time to get my hand slapped....

Someone posted a YouTube video of a American company who is going to start building AK 74's... I wish they would hurry up and get here. The prices on 74's are stupid right now. and I'm not going to start over in 7.62x39.
