With how many rounds that barrel saw it’s a total QC/QA miss. The rifle itself and it’s small parts had much less wear on them. The bolt is old for sure and the trunnion had lived a life (1965) but for the most part not too bad. I’ll keep the 65 trunnion and the matching bolt but the build will get a new trunnion, barrel, bolt, and block. Fresh start on those.

About this 1847 Colt Walker......

There are no markings on it..... Not a discernable scrub mark either from what I can tell.

It's in pretty rough shape.

I am 95% sure it's an authentic civilian Walker but I can't tell without taking it completely apart and cleaning it up

The price is criminally low at 9K.

If someone wants to invest I will authenticate and clean it up, and submit it for sale to Rock Island Auction

I am willing to split the profits 50/50.

I have one of the Rock Island 22TCM and I love it. The best part is if you switch the barrel and guiderod/spring, you can use 9mm. Same mags.
