When I was stationed in Arizona I was riding with a very good friend (and a mutual friend of @lesptr ) in his 68 Camaro SS. He was showing me what that 4 speed manual 427 would do. We were on a back road going back to the airfield when a AZ State Trooped stopped him going about 125mph in a 55 zone, I think we were only in third gear, lol. That trooper made his way up to the drivers window and the conservation went like this.....

Trooper: "Sir, do you have any idea how fast you were going?"

My Friend: "No officer, I really don't. I wasn't looking at the speedometer."

Trooper: "Well I hope the hell not! Anybody driving that fast need to be focused on the GD road and nothing else!"

My Friend: "I'm sorry about that officer. I don't know what else to say."

Trooper: "Are you men headed to back to the airfield?" (we were both wearing flights suits).

My Friend: "I hope so officer, but i know that's entirely up to you at this point."

Trooper: "Do you know Karl _______" (DAC Airfield Ops Manager and president of the local Corvette Club)

My Friend: "Yes Sir, we know him very well"

Trooper: "When you get there say hello to Karl and tell him he owes me a Big One!"

My Friend: "I really apprecia.....(Quickly interrupted by the Trooper)

Trooper: "This would be an excellent time to put the car in gear and SLOWLY get your ass back to the Post"

When we got back we made our way over to Base Ops to tell Carl about it. He laughed and replied "Yeah, he's a member of the Corvette Club and knows if he pisses me off I won't let him drive his Vette on the runway when I close the airfield for the upcoming annual Vette Club Car Rally. He's a good guy....He's got a really nice 94 Anniversary Vette, but he has a trailer hitch on the back." I was standing there looking all quizzical about a Vette and trailer hitch combo when he looked at me and said "Yeah, he's probably going to Hell for that when he dies". I giggled. True Story

lol, that's too funny. I needed that laugh.

Mine is a '68 RS/SS. Have the numbers matching block at my dad's best friends shop. In that pic it had a B&M Supercharged 350 with a Muncie 4spd. It has a N/A 383 stroker in it now.

are LAX and/or Freedom Munitions "new" ammo good? as reliable as say a normal factory loading?

I've bought thousands of rounds from FM but being the cheap poor that I am I usually buy the remanufactured ammo.

Got an order in for .45acp right under the wire before they went out of stock.

It's fine for plinking.

That's @Old Skool favorite band aka @flga

Florida people are getting stupider. Or maybe I been away long enough.

Didn't wanna claim it anymore. I miss my beaches, and hate Georgia winter, but it's getting silly down there.

It was actually somebody that joined odt with a Florida in their name. Started being stupid out the gate. Had to change it coming over here.

Straight up gangster mobile.

I think there was a computer or server glitch and the image you uploaded got switched. ;)

I am sure you meant one like this right? Cause this is the way it would look if I got one. Love the clean lines of these cars. They built the same basic body for 9 years!
