Yep that’s why I said all things considered. I watched a video from one of the agents and he spoke about everything that went down that day. I’ll post a link one secYesterday's history post was about the Reagan shooting. I used this picture & identified the agent but didn't talk about him deploying the weapon. I remember the discussion when it happened though (yes I'm that old) He was carrying it in some 80s designed shoulder rig under his suit coat. At the same time he was deploying the weapon he was trying to ID any other shooters. In those days, they let the press & other people within 15 ft. on each side of the exit the president was coming out of so the sidewalks were crowded. When Hinckley opened up & fired 6 .22lr rounds, he was shoved up against a wall pretty quick. Another Secret Service agent pushed Reagan into the limo. these agents were trying to help other wounded & make sure there weren't other attackers.

Still can be! You’re young. But you’d likely have to go to the Police Academy and then work your way up to like Sergeant or something before they’d consider you. Not just you, most people. I had a childhood friend who went that route.
