Well, I did find an outdoor range in Woodbury (thanks to @Red Dawn and his thread about ranges in GA), and contacted them last night.

Unfortunately, I just got an email from the owner that said they are under court order to not allow the public to shoot at their range, and are in the fight of their lives over keeping their livelihood functioning.

Fucking communists.

Sand that roughness out, and do some Tung Oil finish to it. Then it'll be nicer, but still be 'shitty laminate'.

Where are they located? I'm heading to Perry this weekend to hang out with my mom (every birthday is Mother's Day), and she wants to go shooting. I already know about Eagle on 475, would like to find someplace outdoor, even if it's not super close to Perry/Macon area

I think the closest outdoor range is going to be Ocmulgee WMA Shooting Range . I have never been there so know nothing about it. Every other range I know of in this area is private/club type.

So you store the WASR separate from the RPK's so that the poverty doesn't rub off on the RPK's and the fins don't fall off and the trunnions don't flatten out and the barrels don't get skinny?
