AK mags are designed to be used as hammer. To move the front sight post. Put cap from the cleaning kit under the front sight post barrel. Use body of the kit as a punch, top of the mag, with doubled up steel, as a hammer.
I gotta see that for real...

Just touching base. Off to grab some tacos, then I gotta come back and do a training for my company.

I'm ready for this week to be over.

SR22 talk the other day. I don't think any of us live north though ?

I did manage to neckbeard some ammo at the WallyWorld near me...all they had was .45acp, 7.62x54 and .224 Valkyrie, so I bought what they had. Didn’t have much .45, and only have one pistol in that caliber, but JHPs for $7/20 or $0.35 Each isn’t a terrible price.

Also, I don’t have a .224 upper...YET

It's a statement/command pilots use during takeoff...

From the interwebz: There are three speeds pilots use during takeoff. The first one is the decision speed at which stopping is no longer possible and the airplane is committed to fly. This is known as V1. The second speed is when the nose should be raised and the airplane is rotated into the climb attitude, known as Vr. When the airplane attains the Vr speed, the pilot who is not manipulating the controls calls "Rotate," then the flying pilot applies aft yoke or side stick to raise the nose.

I've been hesitantly leaving that $5/box Valkrie on the shelf...I hate to get into another caliber but it's been tempting at that price for sure. Still trying to get some of that $5/40 7.62x39...I'm gonna make another couple of attempts this weekend and try and get some more 5.56 as well.

I’ve been outside all morning on the range......the suck meter has progressively been moving toward “whore mouth” all day. The older I get the more I hate cold wet weather.

LMAO @the suck meter!

"The older I get the more I hate cold wet weather." This part...this part right here, I truly understand.

By the way, people get up when it's 40 degrees outside and rainy and decide, "I'm going to the range and gonna go shooting!!!"??? Or is it training?

LOL - Our GC has increased in numbers drastically in the last couple years. On top of that, they built a yuuuuge cover over a newly-poured slab so the wannabe snipers can shoot off benches in the shade at 600yds.

This keeps me from shooting from field positions at the berms (100,200,300...etc) GC rule is 2 hours after waiting guy says he wants range. Kinda pointless when I go after work, so I purposefully go on really hot, or really crappy weather days.

Wannabe snipers don't care for inclement weather it seems. on 100-degree days, or rainy days I usually have the whole place to myself.

The factory one?
Maybe. How would I know the difference? I’m not sure there are markings on it and I’m not at home. I recall buying it on EBay about 7-8 years ago when I intended to get an Aimpoint, then I never did. So it’s been sitting around. Don’t even remember what I paid for it anymore.

I did recently look at a rifle that had a real Aimpoint PRO on it and the mount looked the same to my eye...
