Waht's teh difference, they look the same to me.
I think mine's a 512. I like the reticle and all, but it kept on going out at the class I used it at.
I'm gonna try to replace it with an ACOG at some point.

The FDE has an NSN attached to it, NV compatible, QD mount, and a shorter battery compartment bc I believe it uses CR123 batteries...

Looked it up, after you posted the part#. It does use CR123, It is $750-ish, ouch. I will call it a "close enough clone" and go with a $250 512. I can make sure batteries do not shift. They will stay put, or my KGB uncle will deal with them.
