I have eaten a boatload of thai food, some good, some bad, some great. I'll stand by the statement. You order the stuff and the little thai lady whips it up right there. I got my rice "thai 10 hot" and just about fucking perished because it was so damn hot.... crying, sweating, shaking... but it was a good flavor of heat that kept you going back for more. The wife, as she usually does, got something far more reasonable with the spices and that was awesome too, whatever noodles or stuff it was.
