So what's general opinion on the Vortex Venom? Decent? Pile of shit?

I used to have one on a .22LR AR and it was a decent little MRDS. I picked mine up used along with a Primary Arms Micro Dot for $150 so I figured $50 for the Primary Arms and $100 for the Vortex. For that price it was well worth it, I don't know if I'd have thought it was worth it for the ~$250 they normally go for though. For that price I'd rather wait and catch a sale on a Leupold DPP or a Trijicon RMR. It has a weird coating on the glass that distorts the color when you look through it and when turned all the way up outside in the sunlight it has a starburst effect.
