It would work but if you wanted to transition between left/right hand shooting that would limit it to only one side, right?

For sure. I had the c308, 50 rounds of fmj and 10 mags (I kept a bunch of mags from it just to have)
I was $700 into it
the 1895G came with over 100 rounds of 45-70. I won lol
So this the BFG would prefer the universal loop on the front swivel of this?
