I am not aware of any issues with the PSA 103 piston. However a piston change is a simple task.

I had a Riley Defense 103 triangle folder clone that was a Damn fine shooting rifle but I sold it to my girlfriend's dad. I put a few thousand rounds through the Riley with no issues.

The issue I was referencing was how some reported that their pistpns were bent on the gf3s. Psa said this was "tuning" and cited some armorers manual nobody has been able to find. This was a long time ago though, 2017

I don't have too much hands on with PSA AKs, but the ones I have handled were acceptable for the price. I know you had that one that was wonky, but they made it right in the end.

Besides. I can build one cheaper than i can buy one. Especially these days
