I found last weekend that my 10/22 was quiet enough with standard velocity ammo that I didn’t need ear pro. Heard slight bang, then sonic crack after it was about 20 yards down range, and a weird swoosh sound before ping at steel. With the ‘CCI Quiet’ it’s quieter than my .22 break-barrel pellet gun. And more accurate.
