It's been awhile ago, I bought 2 of the DIY kits. If you look at the pic you posted, the receiver looks new to me but the barrel looks bfpu...so I dunno...

its hard to tell but after watching this video and focusing on the receiver and barrel at first it looks untouched but if you look close it looks like they've tried to match it with the distressed look on receiver/barrel
