There will always be unrest, no need to panic based on what someone that earns more told you.
It’s not like you were fongered by Somerset Belenoff when you were a child and doomed to fear everything.
Relax guy
We can always count on @oio to somehow bring earnings/wealth/social-status or flooring pics of someone else's house into the conversation.

Nope. Gear drive.

But I’m listening.... learn me.
I don't know how many my dad bought, maybe 3 or 4 ... but he always insisted on having the "Hydrostatic" drive. He would get pissed off at me for mowing the grass too fast, my response was always "This hydrostatic lever doesn't have settings, so I just push it up all the way!" ... Then I'd get my ass whipped for being a smart ass and would have to do the front yard over again at half-speed.

None of those. I was responding to unnecessary fear
Meh, I call Bullshit ... you had to make the comment "based on what someone that earns more told you"

One day you'll come to realize that the vast majority of the members here are quite content with their humble little piece of life and aren't interested in constant upstaging, perhaps you're insecure and feel the need to comment on it regularly, but most here couldn't give a shit less.

Do your thing man and claim what ya like, but your post history tells a story.

Exactly, meaning just because someone earns more doesn’t mean their opinion holds more weight/value for a fear of what’s to come. Did you miss that somehow? That’s exactly what I posted.

In this case, a "hydrostatic drive" is actually a real thing. Unlike all the names for transmissions in cars (like "Dynaflow" by Buick) that were just trademarks for flashy advertising in the early days of cars with automatic transmissions.

A hydrostatic transmission uses the power from the crankshaft of an internal combustion engine to operate a hydrostatic pump motor. So, the rotary motion from the engine is used to pressurize fluid, which is then directed towards a hydrostatic drive motor. The hydrostatic pump uses the pressurized fluid to move pistons in the hydrostatic drive system. The movement of the pistons transfers power to the hydrostatic motors, which then engage the drive wheels on your lawn mower.

Man, I really honestly enjoy when people explain things in this manner. Thanks Grunkle

Nope, didn't miss it at all; I took your previous post history into consideration, elected to correlate it with this subject, and my response stands.

Maybe I'm wrong and you aren't the narcissist that you portray yourself to be, but I'm a pretty simple guy ... If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, I tend to lean toward the final conclusion being a duck.

Apparently you did miss it and it seems you’re also quick to assume. Oh well.
I‘m pretty sure it started years ago with me not liking Walmart or 5.11 stuff, and tipping more than average. That didn’t sit well with you and you took offense, but hey, we‘re all different.
No big deal

All I know is that every refurbed Cub Cadet that dad would bring home had to have the "Hydrostatic" transmission lever ;)

I can also say that my older brother and I probably had something to do with the regular replacement of the Cub Cadets ... there were plenty of times where we looked at each other and said "Oh shit, dad's gonna be pissed" :becky:
