True story. Last time I changed an alternator, I had to borrow the $100 from my best friend. He was already letting me stay at his apt bc i had nowhere to go and no job. I got in the car, fired it up to check it, all good. I shut the driver's door like normal and the door glass shattered for absolutely no reason.

I had something similar to this happen a long time ago.

Was driving back from the Grand Canyon in 1992 and the passenger window in my Bronco, just shattered near Little Rock. Never knew what happened... Just drove home the rest of the way without it....and it started getting cold when it got dark.
