I have 2 colt 1911's and a Ruger 1911 and never a single hiccup with any ammo i feed them.
Of course I go thru them and check all parts are in spec, and polish the internals.

That’s actually an improvement on the factory finish
You conveniently fail to mention firing the rounds, and if you do fire some rounds it will be nowhere near the same amount as through a Glock before it needs replacement parts.
Never had this issue with my gen 4. Also no scratches on the slide.
