are those the same weight as USGI Okay mags? I bought some last year that looked a lot like that black one that were South Korean made and are heavy

They are steel mags, not aluminum.

Checked that. The mag isn't touching the center support at all. It's about 1/8" away from it.

see if the back of the mag underneath the lug is hitting the front of the safety stop at the magwell
