What are Georgia's acreage requirements for horses? Georgia always recommend having 2 to 2.5 acres per horse for pasturing. I have forgotten a lot but it has been 25 years ago for me having horses (I had 5 Horses at That time).
Also you will get varying people will tell you it is not that bad to own horses but one vet bill for me was 800.00.
Vet fees alone average $500 per year, you need at lest four annual dewormings. If your horse needs emergency care it gets stupid.

not Trying to talk you out of it but I would go talk to a Nearby Stable and get better info from them as to cost.
Most horses do not get all there nutrition from just grass so there is some feed involved just like chickens.

Finally decided to take the plunge - painting the black parts of The Beast silver Got the right fender all sanded down, and a sandable primer on it. Then a little 600 grit, and possibly some 800. Maybe a second coat of primer. Then silver!!
