Managing/bartending a dive bar/strip joint in Colorado in the 80s. real jackleg, home wired alarm system. New waitress/stripper sets it off one night while we're still shutting down/prepping for next day. Cops take like 30 minutes to get there. (Of course, it didn't go off at the station, just a loud siren & no cell phones, so who knows when it actually got called in.) Chick is like, "You guys took forever. What if it had been an actual crime?" Old cop looks at her & said, "Honey, we know the crew that works here. Any shit gets started here, we know we're just picking up bodies & nobody knows what the hell happened."
bad guys = running to chase them + more paperwork = no bueno
