This was the wood from the scrap bin.

Oil looks good. Really lightened it up a bit, especially on the indoor photo.

I don't think the dye soaked in as deep as I initially thought.

I think sometime in the next few days I am gonna sand the lower HG down perfectly smooth, and make a tiger stripe pattern with the torch, then dye it and do an oil rubbed finish.
