Got a phone call last night from a widow whose husband left her a large (30-40 rifles and pistols) collection of Milsurps. She didn't know anything about them, just they were from "The Great War". She wants to donate them to a Museum and needs an appraisal for tax purposes.
So I agreed to help her out.

I've seen guys trying to sell artifacts like that. Really no market for them, as no one wants anything to do with such evil. That's why Soviet stuff commands a much higher premium. Well, that and the overall quality of manufacture is superior.

In all seriousness - it may have belonged to a murderous scumbag. But it likely belonged to a soldier who just busted his ass for his country, same as a Soviet, American, or Brit.
That one is worth 15k but a deal at 10k.
I have had offers on it for Trade and nothing has sparked my interest yet.
I acquired this in the bottom of a box of stuff I bought long ago from a War Veterans Widow, she wanted that "Nazi Stuff" out of her house.
I for years thought this was Worthless as i thought it was a Fake and well it is not (insured for 20k right now).

I am Semi Retired now and only work 4 days a week (was a Network Engineer putting in Fiber over wire commutations and then went to running a Internet Server Farm "retired from that at age 45").
