For $800, it's not a terrible choice. Uglier than an AMD though. No major issues that I've heard of. Just like you said, lack of aftermarket stuff

The ARX 100, though an ugly bastard, is a pretty awesome rifle. The barrel swap Takes like 3 seconds literally to swap between bbls. It’s like a scar for 2000.00 less, but needing 8 beers-deep-goggles to like. Shoots well, surprisingly light for how stupidly cumbersome it looks. 800.00 is worth it but I could never even find factory parts or a factory SBR barrel to warrant owning it.
The prospect of hot swapping barrels so fast had me intrigued.
