It’ll also be my FIL’s first time really shooting suppressed.

How do you like that PEPR mount? Pretty sturdy?

Pepr mount is pretty solid. I’ve got one on my 5.56 with a 6-24x50 Athlon on it. Only thing better would be a QD version, like the American Defense Recon I have on my .308.
But it’s a good, solid mount.

The most painful gun I ever owned to shoot was a S&W 29 with a 3 inch ported barrel. That was no fun at all. My 500 2.5 wasn't that bad.
