Pulled the 196 grain Brown Bear subsonic apart tonight.
For comparisin is a 124 grain Amursk 8V3.
Notice a very nice cannelure on the 196 bullet. Case mouth was crimped exactly on it.
Took some effort to pull the bullet out, with a kinetic puller.
Powder is different. IIRC, regular Barnaul powder is more black. This is more silver and cylindrical. Almost Vihtavuori looking, but I have limited experience with VV. It burned cleanly, leaving behind very light residue.
IIRC, 124gr bullet has about 12 grain od powder, this had 2 grains less.
Sorry, I hwve been swamped at work and the house (buildimg raised beds and planting more tree). Loaded mags tonight, will try to shoot tomorrow night.
