Not for long I imagine. The recoil impulse of a 338L is rough on scopes.
With my 14.5 I was going through a Millit scope about every 40rds
QFT.
About a dozen years ago me and some buddies went shooting out near Rockmart under the power lines, and one guy had a .338Lapua with a 32x scope. We set up a steel plate at 600yards, and he got about 20 rounds down range, offered it to the rest of us to try (he was rich, didn’t want us to even pay for the ammo - I offered)
About a dozen rounds later I was behind the scope, and was plinking steel no problem. Furthest I’d ever shot at that point.
13th round hits a little left. I adjust my point of aim, fire again. Still miss left, so I adjust further right. Miss left again. I aim a full foot off the target to the right, and send it...
WHAM!
The whole pic rail and scope broke loose and gave me a nasty scope bite around the right eye.
I was lucky I didn’t get a scar from that one.
