At a $900 MSRP I think that's a solid deal on a solid rifle. It has all the things I like in an AK...Made in the Motherland, HFCL Barrel plus the added Bulged Trunnion. Definitely a competitor in the below $1000 AK market (WBP, WASR/SAR-1) and a better buy than any of the US made AKs. If I were looking to add to my AK stable I would be considering this and the WBP.

I have looked at the new ZPAP several times too. They can be found on two sites in stock for $735 & $740, so it seems like a good deal. Been watching the "in stock" number continue to drop and thinking maybe I should take action, before it gets to zero.

I’m aware. It’s preposterous. Colt has always made a bare bones fighting grade AR. Buts it’s just that.
Colt had never excited me. Seems everyone’s go to answer on other forums is “get a colt” nah man, colt is just riding their name. 1K for a basic bitch AR.

so many better options in 2020 if you are going to be in the 1K ball park IMO

Yup 100%. Theyre $800 guns all day. To me it’s the equivalent of a WASR. Dead reliable but that’s about it
